Session Cam

Terms of Use

Effective September 16, 2026

Short version: use Session Cam at your own risk, be careful when you practice, respect other people when you film, and don't rely on the app as the only copy of footage that matters to you.

Agreement

Session Cam is provided by Stan James ("we"). By using the app you agree to these terms. They add to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies. If the two conflict, Apple's agreement takes precedence for anything it covers.

Your safety

Biking, skateboarding, dancing and other activities you might record can be dangerous. Session Cam is only a camera: it doesn't make any activity safer, and you're responsible for your own safety and choices. Set up your phone and tripod where they won't be in anyone's way or fall.

Recording other people

You're responsible for what you record and share. Respect other people's privacy and follow the laws and rules where you record, including those of parks, venues and property owners.

Your content

Videos you record belong to you. We don't receive, store or have any rights to them.

Sample content

The sample session included with the app is provided so you can see how Session Cam works. You may view it and share clips from it for personal use, and delete it at any time.

No guarantees

Session Cam decides automatically what counts as an attempt and keeps only those moments. It may miss an attempt, cut one short, or keep footage you didn't want, and recording can stop if your iPhone gets too hot, runs low on storage, or is interrupted. The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. If a moment really matters, consider also recording it with the Camera app.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of footage or data, arising from your use of Session Cam. Some places don't allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

Changes

We may update these terms. The current version will always be on this page, with its effective date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, except where the laws of your country of residence require otherwise.
